    Our sterling silver pieces are made from ethically sourced 925 sterling silver. Currently 70% of our production is recycled silver.

    With a little care, your jewellery will continue to glow. We recommend the following to help you look after your silver to keep it looking as new as possible:

    Keep your jewellery away from chemicals, (like chlorinated waters, sunscreen, perfume, cosmetics, hairspray, hand sanitiser etc.)

    Whilst our jewellery is durable, hard surfaces, sharp blows, scratching and extreme temperatures can damage your jewellery.

    We don’t recommend you swim in the ocean in your jewellery, but if you do, rinse it with cold water, pat dry with a soft cotton cloth.

    When not being worn, store your jewellery in a dry airtight container as sterling silver naturally oxidises. Use a professional polishing cloth to keep this clean.

    Take care when removing clothing. We use fine chains in our jewellery, their delicate nature means that they need to be cared for to avoid accidentally snagging or stretching. Sleeping in them is not recommended. Please be mindful of this before purchasing, as this kind of damage is not covered under our returns policy.

    Super soft

    The silver is super soft and keeps bending and I feel won’t be long till it snaps. Beautiful just very soft

    To harden our jewellery we use a process called Precipitation Hardening, it does strengthen the metal but if crushed it may still become bent, further detail about that process follows below;

    1. Solution Treatment: The sterling silver is heated to a high temperature, around 730-750°C, which completely dissolves the copper into the silver matrix, forming a single-phase solid solution.
    2. Quenching: The heated alloy is then rapidly cooled, usually by quenching in water. This quick cooling 'freezes' the dissolved copper atoms in place, preventing them from forming separate phases in the silver crystal structure.
    3. Aging: The quenched alloy is then reheated to a moderate temperature, such as 280°C. At this higher temperature, the solubility of copper decreases, causing it to precipitate out of the silver as fine, dispersed particles. These precipitates act as obstacles, pinning dislocation movement and significantly increasing the material's hardness.
