Our sterling silver pieces are made from ethically sourced 925 sterling silver. Currently 70% of our production is recycled silver.

With a little care, your jewellery will continue to glow. We recommend the following to help you look after your silver to keep it looking as new as possible:

Keep your jewellery away from chemicals, (like chlorinated waters, sunscreen, perfume, cosmetics, hairspray, hand sanitiser etc.)

Whilst our jewellery is durable, hard surfaces, sharp blows, scratching and extreme temperatures can damage your jewellery.

We don’t recommend you swim in the ocean in your jewellery, but if you do, rinse it with cold water, pat dry with a soft cotton cloth.

When not being worn, store your jewellery in a dry airtight container as sterling silver naturally oxidises. Use a professional polishing cloth to keep this clean.

Take care when removing clothing. We use fine chains in our jewellery, their delicate nature means that they need to be cared for to avoid accidentally snagging or stretching. Sleeping in them is not recommended. Please be mindful of this before purchasing, as this kind of damage is not covered under our returns policy.

Very Pretty. Very Goth.

Very nice quality. I’m wearing my impressed face, though you can’t see it in the photo. The onyx is well embedded into the charm and the links are well made and strong enough to hold up to everyday wear. I found them easy to put in but my earlobes don’t connect to my jaw like some people’s do. I imagine that might make it trickier. Been wearing them as every day earrings, sleeping and showering in them too. No discolouration so far. I’d buy another pair of earrings from Midsummer Star. Good stuff.

Too hard to close the earring

I absolutely love the look of the earrings, but the clamp is so hard to close when in your ear, I literally took 15 minutes getting one earring in.

Some customer do find these easier to put on with the help of a friend, we also have a video on the product page which may be of assistance to you. This type of fitting is the most secure once put on and they are the most popular fitting we sell due to that benefit.

Can't recommend :(

I wanted to love these so badly! The clasp is impossible to secure without an extra set of hands/eyes to assist and, based on the description, I expected genuine onyx stones - these are enamel.
Two stars for same-day dispatch but these earrings are a waste of money considering they can't be worn or returned.

We do mention some people find having a friend to help can make it easier to put these on, they are genuine Onyx, not enamel, we do not use enamel in any of our jewellery.

super cute earrings!! but they’re difficult to put on :(

i’m really pleased with the overall feel and look of the earrings. they look great on and are very wearable. only downside is that the backing and clasp for them aren’t quite in line so it takes a lot of fiddling to adjust and get them on. i couldn’t put them on myself bc the clasp is very small so i couldn’t see it too well when trying to push the backing in. that might just be a me problem though :) wouldn’t let that stop you from buying bc they’re such a simple and cute pair of earrings that you can’t go wrong with.

These are such a beautiful everyday piece, I absolutely love them! They are a little bit of a hassle to hook the clasp but it's just something to get use to. But overall, STUNNING!!
