Lovely labradorite

This ring is very nearly perfect and that's saying something. Labradorite can be hard to get right, especially when the stone is the star and there's no elaboration to hide behind but this ring does and I'm thrilled. I never expect a labradorite to be perfect (that's not how they roll) but this one is pretty close: good light blue and green colour with lots of holographic flashes thanks to those facets - mine bears more resemblance to the unworn photo than the deep green of the worn one. Some veining in mine that happily has the effect of looking like it's part of the stone and not a crack, as it sometimes can. I love the low-profile, half-round band and the plain oval setting: they are both substantial without being chunky. Gorgeous!

Lovely Lisa,
It's very true that Labradorite is a stone that along with all the feldspar's can be very subjective. I am very happy this one has caught your appreciative eye. Early in my career it was my job to buy blue moonstones at the mines (as it was then called) in Sri Lanka. It was in the late 1980's I vividly recall walking for hundreds of meters to the mines and walking most of the way on the 'waste' material, which we now use as Labradorite and Rainbow Moonstone. I had no idea at the time how precious and amazing these stones are. I truly share your appreciation of these stones and thank you so much for your wonderful review.
